Meeting with Supervisor Chip Davis

I was invited to a meeting with Supervisor Chip Davis on April 28th. In this meeting Supervisor Davis and members from the public works department announced that they had some solution to make the Cornville Rd. project safer for cyclists. This was a great moment for me. I felt like I had made a difference in something that is very important to cyclists. I feel empowered, and want to continue to move forward as a cycling activist. This was a good day for the Verde Valley and the cyclist that come to this area.

Supervisor Davis and the public works department came up with a way to give cyclist a 4 foot shoulder on the up hill side of the road through the Cornville switchbacks. This is a life saving change to the Cornville Rd. improvement project plans.
